Iced tea is one of the most loved summer drinks all over the world. Few things feel as refreshing as a tall glass of iced tea in your hands with the ice-cubes tinkling a merry tune inside and the aroma of tea and lemon juice sending a lively wake up call to your dull and lethargic senses.
However, iced tea is quite a tricky drink to make. The recipe looks deceptively simple but when you get right down to it, stirring up the perfect batch of iced tea can become quite a chore. Steep the drink too long and you get that awful bitter taste; add the sugar when the tea has cooled down and you will have a frightening time getting it to dissolve! So, you think it’s a good idea that a lot of restaurants now publish calorie counts on their menus? Maybe it is, but the idea only has value as long as it is being executed soundly. In a shocking discovery, a group at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center at Tufts University has found that restaurants have been significantly misreporting the calorie content of their meals.
If you thought that they would be more careful, with their reputations at stake, it is time you think again. It seems that restaurants have been counting on people to take their word, and at least with this Tufts University study, that strategy has backfired.

Different people have different ways of dealing with stress. Some like to prepare a scented bath and soak in it for a while; others switch off the lights and put on some soothing music; yet other head straight for the refrigerator, pull out the biggest tub of ice cream and pig out all by themselves. I know someone who likes to tackle stress by attacking with great vengeance all the weeds in her garden. To each their own, I guess. You can’t always explain why one activity seems to calm you down more than the others.
